Go-mtb Orientation courses for Leaders

Go-mtb orientation course from CTC CTC is running a Go-mtb Orientation day for qualified leaders to be able to provide the Go-mtb Awards to participants of their groups. Go-mtb are progressive achievement awards provided by CTC, which cover the needs of novice to expert riders. They are designed to engage, educate and enhance participants mountain biking experiences.

Outdoor Instructor Development Courses at Mount Severn

Mount Severn, one of CTC courses delivery partners Mount Severn Development Training Centre is providing a unique Outdoor Instructors Intensive Skills course for the winter of 2010/2011.

This 22 week programme aims to provide individuals with a keen interest in a career as an outdoor activities instructor with the fundamental skills to be confident in going into a first job at an Outdoor Education Centre. A plethora of outdoor qualifications are on offer, including CTC's Leader Awards

Young Leader course

Young Leader course from CTC Designed to engage young people aged between 14 and 18, CTC's new Young Leader Award is a one day, full on course providing engaging, enlightening and entertaining activities which hit the learning agenda. Whether the skills are purely riding based, or part of the essential make up of life, the Young Leader Award aids and supports classroom and out of school learning in areas including teamwork, communication, independence and confidence.

CTC provide Approvals badges

Learning Outside the Classroom approvals from CTC CTC will shortly be able to provide UK wide verification of activity provider quality and safety standards through the Learning Outside the Classroom and Adventuremark schemes. These sought after approvals ensure that activity providers from Bikeability to multi-activity residential centres are able to say to their customers, 'we are good at what we do'.

Maintenance course partners are sought

UK wide maintenance delivery partners are needed CTC are searching for a wide network of organisations that are able to provide quality maintenance courses from the CTC portfolio. We are looking for CTC courses to be accessible to members of the public, Leaders, Instructors and young people throughout the UK, and this means using organisations out in the field.

SkillsActive Expedition and Leadership Qualifications

SkillsActive SkillsActive, the outdoors sector qualification organisation are providing an open meeting on the new Expedition and Leadership Qualifications on 11th October.
