Skills Awards Overview

Go-mtbThe Go-mtb Awards are a series of progressive achievement awards for mountain bikers from novice to expert. All five levels comprise elements of Riding skills, Sharing the outdoors, First aid and Being independant, they can be provided by specially trained Leaders or Skill Instructors.

Go-mtb is a partnership between CTC and Scottish Cycling, and has come about through our desire to see young people get more from mountain biking. Each award provides extended learning opportunities, proves abilities and can help lead to a career through the Leader Awards scheme.

Skill Awards are succesfully used as part of school curriculum programs, support systems, after school clubs, PE emphasis extensions and vocational programs such as ASDAN.
